Living Reef
-----------
The Living Reef is made up of a series of free form coral lagoons that are located on Daydream Island in the Whitsundays. The Living Reef App includes an identification guide, a map of the lagoons, a short video, live view streaming of the reef lagoon and information on the educational experiences available.
The four 4 main features of the App are detailed below:


About
------
This features includes general information on the Living Reef and a short video showing the upgrade of the new reef lagoon. The lagoons are home to local species of fish, small sharks, rays and a range of marine invertebrates. The habitats within the lagoons have been designed to be replicate the natural marine environments of the surrounding marine park.


Animals
--------
This feature includes a map and species list of some of the key marine species found in the lagoons and throughout the Whitsundays. Species can be searched for by simply looking through thumbnails or by exploring the lagoons on the map.

Photograph taken of each species either in the lagoons or in the marine park surrounding the Whitsunday Islands

Common name and Latin name of the species

Size:
All sizes indicate maximum total length unless it is stated otherwise.

Facts:
This section may include information such as what they eat, preferred habitat and general interesting facts.


Experiences

The Living Reef offers unique educational experiences lead by local marine biologists which are detail in this section.


Live View
---------
The Live view feature allows viewers to access the footage that is streamed live from the underwater observatory. Here you can see you favourite Living Reef character going about day. The camera streams live footage in daylight hours only.


Future updates
---------------
This app is a work in progress that will have regular updates as required. As well as bug fixes, future updates will include more species and information of marine animals local to the Whitsundays.
